  • CARROLL: Great Growth, awsome fruit, makes great wine, customers have been very pleased.
  • QUEEN ANNE'S: We have 2 acres of 2nd and 3rd leaf that seems to be doing well
  • ST. MARY'S: Fairly easy to grow; slightly over-vigorous; have yet to evaluate wine quality.
  • WASHINGTON: Jury is still out re Barbera.

Recommendations:
In California, reported to be less susceptible to fungal diseases than other reds. Ripens late. Can give heavy yields.

Considerations:
Intense red wine with deep color, low tannins and high acid.
