Basics: Produced to be an easier to grow version of Chardonnay. Parents are Seyval and Chardonnay.

Comments:

(by County)
  • CALVERT: Performs well and makes a very good 'Chardonnay' type wine
  • CARROLL: Does well but only if grafted
  • CARROLL: Easy, wild stuff on 3309

Recommendations:
Recommended for hot sites on the Maryland Shore as a replacement for Seyval. Highly poroductive and cold hardy.

Considerations:
When well made, very similar to Chardonnay. Can be more "fruity" than Chardonnay.
