Basics: A white hybrid cross of three grapes. Usually made as a sweet wine.

  • BALTIMORE: Tough skin, high acid but nice wine.
  • CARROLL: Grows well in the area, but tight cluster were more than I like, must spray a lot.
  • GARRETT: No significant disease/rot at harvest, but acidity, even at 22 brix, is borderline acceptable most year. Sm. clusters yld +/- 2 tons/acre.
Growing  
Recommendations:
Can be very suseptable to Botryis in humid areas. Small compact clusters. Late bud break.
Winery  
Considerations:
Can develop high sugars while retaining high acidity. Noble rot a possibility.
